Because they are only this small for a little while.

Newborns change so fast it almost feels unfair. The tiny fingers. The way they curl up like they are still trying to figure out the world. Our newborn sessions are designed to hold onto this exact version of your baby before it slips away.

NEWBORN FAQs

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DO THE NEWBORN?

The best time to do a newborn session is within 14 days of life. This ensures that we have a sleepy babe and they love being curled and swaddled up. If the newborn happens outside of the 18 days, you may be there for a longer period of time because of the needs of an older newborn.

WHEN DO I BOOK?

You can book your newborn session whenever you're ready, but please note that I only accept two newborns per week based on their due dates. To secure your spot, I recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability.

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS AND PRODUCTS?

Yes! All products are available through your online gallery after your session. From prints to albums to wall art, everything is right there waiting for you

WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE FOR RETAINER?

The retainer for a lifestyle newborn is $200 and can be paid online through an online portal.

WHAT IF MY BABY IS ADMITTED TO THE NICU?

I’m a NICU mom, so I understand this worry 100%. I will wholeheartedly work with you and depending on the situation, we will move your session around and we can credit you for a later lifestyle session once everything is good and you are home.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE BABY IS LATE OR EARLY?

Communication is key. After you book your session around your due date and you are in my calendar and the retainer is paid, I will expect to do your newborn around that time however it is not set until you email me that the baby has arrived. There’s no need to worry if your baby arrives earlier or later than expected; we can easily adjust the session date to accommodate your new arrival!

CAN I BRING MY FAMILY?

Mom, Dad and brothers and sisters are all welcome to be in photos. I welcome grandparents to come and help with the older siblings when they are out of the photos.

DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO SPACE?

I do have a studio space in Lockport but during the summer months I recommend an in home session since the studio is not air conditioned. In home sessions are actually one of my favorites because there is something really special about documenting your baby in the space where they will grow up.
